Because our products consist exclusively of digital consultation services and professional time reserved specifically for each client, our refund policy differs from policies that apply to physical goods.
By purchasing any service through our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Return and Refund Policy.
Nature of Our Services
Safer Places Inc. provides professional online consultation services related to business risk management, employment screening, tenant screening, compliance guidance, and security strategy.
All services are delivered electronically through scheduled online consultations. No physical products are sold or shipped.
Because each consultation reserves dedicated professional time and resources, every order is handled individually.
Cancellation Before Service Delivery
Clients may request to cancel a scheduled consultation before the appointment begins.
If cancellation is requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled consultation, the client may qualify for one of the following, at our discretion:
- A full refund.
- Store credit.
- One complimentary rescheduling.
Requests received less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may not qualify for a refund because the consultation time has already been reserved.
Rescheduling
We understand that unexpected situations may arise.
Clients who notify us in advance may reschedule their consultation to another available date and time.
Repeated rescheduling requests, excessive cancellations, or failure to attend scheduled appointments may result in additional scheduling requirements or the loss of promotional pricing.
No-Show Policy
If a client does not attend the scheduled consultation without prior notice, the appointment will generally be considered completed.
Because professional consulting time was reserved exclusively for the client, no refund will normally be issued for missed appointments.
However, we may choose to reschedule appointments in exceptional circumstances at our sole discretion.
Refund Eligibility
Refund requests are evaluated individually.
A refund may be considered under circumstances including, but not limited to:
- Duplicate or accidental purchases.
- Technical issues that prevented service delivery and could not reasonably be resolved.
- Billing errors.
- Situations where Safer Places Inc. is unable to provide the purchased consultation.
Each request is reviewed fairly and objectively.
Non-Refundable Services
The following are generally non-refundable:
- Completed consultation sessions.
- Partially completed consultations.
- Missed appointments.
- Consultation time already reserved.
- Add-on services that have already been performed.
- Services purchased and fully delivered.
Professional advice, recommendations, analyses, and guidance are considered delivered once the consultation has taken place.
Dissatisfaction with Service
Customer satisfaction is extremely important to us.
If you are dissatisfied with any consultation, please contact us as soon as possible.
Rather than immediately requesting a refund, we encourage clients to allow us the opportunity to review the situation. Depending on the circumstances, we may offer:
- Additional clarification.
- A follow-up consultation.
- Additional documentation where appropriate.
- A partial refund when justified.
- Another mutually acceptable solution.
Digital Services
All products sold through this website are digital professional services.
No physical merchandise is shipped.
Therefore, traditional product returns are not applicable.
Chargebacks
Customers experiencing concerns with an order should contact Safer Places Inc. before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.
We are committed to resolving legitimate concerns quickly and professionally.
Fraudulent chargebacks for services that have already been delivered may be challenged using appointment records, communication history, transaction information, and other available documentation.
Refund Processing
If a refund is approved, it will generally be processed using the original payment method.
Depending on your financial institution, refunds may require 5–10 business days to appear on your statement after processing.
Processing times are determined by your payment provider and issuing bank.
Service Availability
Although we strive to deliver all consultations as scheduled, unforeseen circumstances may occasionally require rescheduling.
If Safer Places Inc. must cancel a consultation and an alternative appointment cannot be arranged, a full refund will be provided.
